The Krystal Co., the quick-service burger chain, is testing K Café, a fast-casual concept in Alpharetta, Ga., a suburb of Atlanta, a company spokesman confirmed.
The spokesman said the 400-unit, Chattanooga, Tenn.-based company “is not doing interviews with respect to the new concept” and had no comment on it “at this time.”
The store has been open for several weeks.
Sources said K Café is serving upscale salads and sandwiches on the order of Panera Bread or Atlanta Bread Co., but didn’t specify which items are available or what the check average is.
