To reverse declining guest traffic, Shake Shack plans to add more buzzworthy items to its menu this year, including Hot Chick’n Bites and innovative plant-based foods.
The New York City-based fast-casual chain, which is growing at a rapid pace, also plans to expand its line of cold beverages and is testing a smaller shake size.
“We’ll be ramping up menu innovation with a variety of buzzworthy LTOs, innovating around our core menu and expanding into new categories,” CEO Randy Garutti told investors during the chain's Monday afternoon conference call.
