SAN DIEGO The 2,180-unit Jack in the Box chain on Monday launched a new line of Flavored Iced Teas.

The drinks feature fresh brewed tea with flavors that include mango, peach and raspberry. The new iced teas are available in 24-ounce servings for the suggested price of $1.89.

“Consumer demand for new and unique drink options has really exploded in recent years,” said Teka O’Rourke, director of menu marketing and promotions at San Diego-based Jack in the Box. “We’ve responded to this trend by expanding our menu to include premium beverages such as Real Fruit Smoothies, Iced Coffee, Real Ice Cream Shakes, and now Flavored Iced Teas, all of which are great-tasting alternatives to sodas and water.”

Jamba Juice, an Emeryville, Calif.-based smoothie chain, also debuted new Fruit Tea Infusion beverages this month, including organic green tea and fruit juices with a splash of lemonade. Flavors include pomegranate, passion fruit and prickly pear.
