DALLAS Pizza Hut has grafted its popular cheese-stuffed crust onto its pan pizza.

Pizza Hut said Monday the new Stuffed Crust Pan Pizza marks the first major upgrade of its pan pizza, which was introduced in 1980. The stuffed-crust pizza was introduced 15 years later.

“The arrival of Stuffed Crust Pan Pizza is the biggest news to hit our pan pizza in nearly three decades,” said Brian Niccol, Pizza Hut’s chief marketing officer. “With the addition of a ring of melted cheese stuffed deep into the crust, we’ve created a pizza that hits the jackpot.”

The Stuffed Crust Pan Pizza is priced at $10.99.

Pizza Hut is the Dallas-based division of Yum! Brands Inc. of Louisville, Ky. It has more than 10,000 restaurants worldwide.
