DUBLIN Ohio Tim Hortons said its 352 locations in the United States will introduce a new Homestyle Hash Brown breakfast side dish Thursday by giving away orders between 6 and 11 a.m. The item, which will sell for 79 cents a la carte, is the newest addition to the Canadian quick-service chain’s breakfast line-up. The item will be marketed as a complement to Toasted Bagel or Homestyle Biscuit sandwiches. Breakfast is served until 11 a.m. on week days and noon on weekends at most locations.

The 3,110-unit chain, which has 2,758 units in Canada, has long been known for its doughnuts and coffee but has expanded its overall menu in recent years.

The expansion of the chain’s morning menu comes as former parent Wendy’s International Inc. is looking to roll out a new breakfast program.
