As Thanksgiving festivities wind down, customers plan to spend money throughout the upcoming weekend, starting with Black Friday and ending on Cyber Monday, on Nov. 24 and 27, respectively. In a survey conducted by RetailMeNot, in partnership with Kelton Global, 52 percent of consumers plan to shop on Black Friday this year, compared with 53 percent in 2016. Cyber Monday is also expected to be a popular day for businesses in 2017, as 56 percent of consumers plan to do their holiday shopping on that day this year, compared with 39 percent the previous year.

Restaurants are taking advantage of the increased retail activity over the weekend with food and drink deals for holiday shoppers, in-store and online discounts, and marketing campaigns.
