Chipotle Mexican Grill and Burger King have launched two unusual marketing campaigns where one brand is paying for shipping fees up to $599 and the other is giving free Impossible Whoppers to travelers with delayed flights

At Burger King, the chain is adding a “Delay Your Way” entry in the brand’s app starting today. If you’re traveling in the U.S. and your flight is delayed, Burger King said it will give frustrated consumers a coupon for a free Impossible Whopper. To get the digital coupon, consumers need to enter their flight information in the app. The promotion is valid during the holiday travel season from Dec. 18 to Dec. 30.

Newport Beach, Calif.-based Chipotle is also giving away something — but it’s not free food.

It’s shipping and delivery fees.

The brand is bringing back last year’s “Free Delivery Bowl” promotion, where consumers get free delivery on any order valued at $10 or more. The promotion starts today and runs through Jan. 6. It’s also valid on Jan. 13.

The brand is also launching a social media promotion called “Chipotle's Free Delivery Interception.” The brand said it will pay for a consumer’s shipping fees up to $599. The brand said fees can be reimbursed for purchases made over the summer, or for last minute holiday gifts with hefty expediated fees. For a chance to win, Chipotle is asking consumers to reply to Chipotle's pinned tweet using the hashtags #ChipotleFreeDelivery and #Contest. The tweet should also contain a picture of your receipt and your Venmo handle.

Chipotle said up to 100 potential winners will be selected per day based on the following criteria: originality, quality of entry, public appeal and appropriateness to image.
