Multi-Berry Pancake Breakfast

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store debuted its new springtime menu Monday, which consists of new lunch, dinner and all-day breakfast options, and some old limited-time offers.

“Spring’s bounty brings a renewed sense of adventure to the menu,” said Cracker Barrel chef Bill Kintzler in a statement. “There’s a Grilled Chicken n’ Strawberry Salad…and the fun-to-try and share any time, new Cinnamon Pecan Crumble Skillet, served warm.”

The items will be available from April 1 to June 2.

The family-dining chain’s new breakfast items are:

Cinnamon Pecan Crumble Skillet

A Multi-Berry Pancake Breakfast, which comes with three blueberry buttermilk pancakes topped with strawberries. It’s served with warm raspberry syrup, two eggs, and a choice of bacon, turkey sausage patties or smoked sausage patties. The breakfast is priced at $6.39 for pancakes alone, or $7.99 with eggs and meat.

The Cinnamon Pecan Crumble Skillet is coffee cake served in a skillet and baked with pecan streusel topping. It is served warm with vanilla icing, and is priced at $3.99.

New lunch and dinner items, which are served after 11 a.m., are:

Buttermilk Oven Fried Chicken Breast.

A Buttermilk Oven Fried Chicken Breast, prepared by dipping chicken breast into seasoned buttermilk, coating it with cornflake crumbs and baking it. It’s served with two country vegetable sides and buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins. It is priced at $7.99.

Mushroom Swiss Chopped Steak, priced at $7.69, is new to the chain’s Country Dinner Plate line-up. It includes a half-pound of grilled chopped steak topped with melted Swiss cheese, grilled mushrooms and gravy.

Both items come with a choice of two country vegetable sides and buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins.

The chain is also bringing back a few previous limited-time offers.

Cider BBQ Chicken, which had been a holiday limited-time offer, is a grilled chicken breast glazed in cider barbecue sauce and topped with bacon and Colby and white Cheddar cheeses. For $7.69, guests can also choose two country vegetable sides and buttermilk biscuits or corn muffins.

Grilled Chicken n’ Strawberry Salad

is baby spinach tossed with strawberries, Gala apples, bacon, red onions, blue cheese crumbles and chopped almonds. It is topped with chicken tenderloins and a Country Pepper Vinaigrette, and is priced at $8.29. The salad had been on the spring menu last year, and the company decided to bring it back, officials said.

Lebanon, Tenn.-based Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc. operates more than 620 restaurants.
