SPARTANBURG S.C. Denny's is trying to give young diners more incentive to burn the midnight oil at its restaurants by adding more value options to its late-night menu.
The 1,500-unit family-dining chain last spring launched its Allnighter menu featuring shareable dishes and rock-star-inspired creations available exclusively between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
The new value meals, priced between $2.99 and $4.99, are designed to appeal to budget-conscious young adults, Denny's said.
The value items include:
A12-pack of Pancake Puppies, which are round, bite-size pancakes rolled in cinnamon and sugar and served with warm syrup for $2.99
Nachitos, a smaller portion of the chain's nachos for $3.99
Half Moons Over My Hammy, which is a grilled sandwich made with ham, scrambled eggs and Swiss and American cheeses on sourdough bread, served with hash browns for $3.99
Kickin' Flavor Wraps, two warm flour tortillas filled chicken strips tossed in Buffalo sauce with lettuce and Swiss cheese, served with tortilla chips and a side of ranch dressing for $4.99
"The Allnighter value menu is the latest example of Denny's commitment to young customers currently facing a challenging economy," said Mark E. Chmiel, chief marketing and innovation officer. "Dating back to the 1950s, Denny's has been the after-hours hangout for bands and young adults. With this appetizing value menu, we are continuing Denny's heritage as a cool, fun place for late-night dining."
Denny's also said it is continuing the Adopt-A-Band program it started last year. As part of the program, Denny's is sponsoring six bands by providing their members with free meals and locations for post-concert events for fans.
