CANTON Mass. Dunkin’ Donuts is using the Milky Way and M&M’s brand names to call attention to two of its three new chocolate menu choices.

The additions consist of a Milky Way Hot Chocolate, an M&M’s Donut and a Triple Chocolate Muffin.

The new drink simulates the taste of a Milky Way candy bar, with chocolate, caramel and vanilla nougat flavors, according to the 7,200-unit chain. Dunkin’ Donuts is franchised by Dunkin’ Brands Inc. here, which also franchises the Baskin-Robbins ice cream chain.

The new doughnut is coated with chocolate or vanilla icing and sprinkled with miniature M&M’s candies.

The Milky Way and M&M’s menu items were both developed in collaboration with the candy brands’ parent, Mars Inc.
