Well, the curtain’s coming down on 2024, but there’s still plenty of celebrating to do, hence last-minute holiday items from Big Chicken, The French Workshop (a four-unit concept in the New York City area), Insomnia Cookies, Pincho Burgers & Kebabs, South Block, Tacodeli, and Tous les Jours. Also possibly holiday-related, Huey Magoo’s now has a giant tray of mac & cheese suitable for pretty big catering events.
But the big chains have their own agendas.
Taco Bell apparently thinks mid-December is a great time to roll out chicken nuggets, and Burger King has seen fit to reprise its melts.
El Pollo Loco, for its part, seems to be anticipating New Year’s resolution season with some double-protein bowls. Conversely, Little Caesars has a new stuffed crust option, while Marco’s Pizza has figured out new things to do with its dough (breadsticks and dessert).
Angry Crab Shack has jumped on the hot honey bandwagon, and Chopt is observing the tail end of Hatch chile season.
Dave’s Hot Chicken has loaded fries now.
Vitality Bowls has a new apple option, Buddy’s Bar-B-Q has brought back its Brunswick stew, and Honeygrow has a new Buffalo chicken salad as well as a returning stir-fry using the same protein.
Tocaya has two new carne asada items, and Velvet Taco’s Weekly Taco Feature is made with spicy Thai shrimp.
