Check out the hottest new menu trends with NRN’s new video series

Each week, Nation’s Restaurant News senior food and beverage editor Bret Thorn lists the newest chain menu items in Menu Tracker. This weekly series includes dishes from some of the largest chains like McDonald’s, Taco Bell and Subway as well as smaller chains like Voodoo Doughnuts and Velvet Taco.
In this video, we highlight the three biggest trends we noticed in over 100 menu items released in January.
Shot at our headquarters, our New York City-based editors ordered and sampled the items available in the city, which is what you’ll see photographed along with lists of items trending that weren’t available in the city.
