MILL VALLEY Calif. The 12-unit Piatti Ristorante & Bar, based here, said it is showcasing mushrooms on a special seasonal menu available Nov. 29 through Dec. 13 to augment the casual-dining chain’s regular Italian trattoria bill of fare.

Buckwheat pappardelle with braised rabbit, cremini mushroom ragu and truffle butter, $15.95, and porcini risotto with black truffle butter, $16.95, are among the featured items created by Chris Fernandez, vice president of culinary operations for the chain, which is managed by Moana Hotel & Restaurant Group. Other items on the seasonal menu include grilled quail with Savoy cabbage, wild mushrooms, parsnip and leek sformato and truffle essence, $21.50, as well as creamed mushroom crostini with wilted chicory salad and warm toasted garlic vinaigrette, $8.95.
