Taco Bell will bring back its Nacho Fries April 13, marking the product’s ninth appearance on the menu. The fries will be available for a limited time in classic form for $1.99. Yellowbird Nacho Fries, featuring Austin, Texas-based Yellowbird Hot Sauce’s Spicy Habanero Ranch sauce, will also be available, featuring slim-cut potato fries, warm nacho cheese sauce, steak, and Yellowbird’s exclusive sauce. The Yellowbird Nacho Fries are available for two weeks for $4.99.

According to a release, Yellowbird is known for using homegrown, premium ingredients. Its Spicy Habanero Ranch sauce is fruity and acidic and adds instant heat. Customers can also add the sauce to any menu item for two weeks or while supplies last for an additional $1.

"We pride ourselves with serving bold flavors, so partnering with Yellowbird to deliver on spice and craveability feels like second nature," Liz Matthews, Taco Bell's chief food innovation officer, said in a statement. "Yellowbird utilizes premium ingredients to create their sauces and the Spicy Habanero Ranch sauce seamlessly compliments the full Taco Bell menu. While they won't be on the menu for long, the Yellowbird Nacho Fries are something really special we've been working to bring to fans everywhere."

This collaboration comes about six months after Taco Bell partnered with Southern California-based Truff’s to add its Hotter Hot Sauce to Nacho Fries for a limited time. That partnership marked the first time Taco Bell partnered with another brand on a new sauce.

Taco Bell’s Nacho Fries were initially introduced in 2018 and quickly became the chain’s most successful new product launch ever. The fries are part of one in four orders at the chain and recently helped break weekly sales records twice during Q2. The success has inspired Taco Bell to introduce limited-time iterations, like the Rattlesnake Fries and Reaper Ranch Fries, to generate occasional traffic and sales upticks.
