CHEYENNE Wyo. The 425-unit Taco John’s quick-service chain said it has developed a new lineup of snacks priced at $2 or less for cost-conscious customers.

The new menu includes two grab-and-go tortilla wraps, the Buffalo Chicken Snackarito and the Ranch Chicken Snackarito, which sell for about $1.49 each at many locations. Also on the new menu are Chips & Queso for less than $2 and Cini-Sopapilla Bites for 99 cents. Prices may vary by location.

Taco John's also is promoting a Beef Chalupa EZ Combo for a limited time. The $3.99 meal includes a beef chalupa, Potato OlŽs and a small drink. As part of the promotion, Taco John's said it has partnered with Pepsi in a contest called Drink in the Music, which features such prizes as free Taco John's menu items, music downloads and $10,000 in cash.

The Drink in the Music promotion ties in with Taco John’s recent unveiling of a new ad spokesman, called TJ DJ. Billed as Taco John’s No. 1 fan, TJ DJ appears in two new television spots, which can be seen here.
