Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt has named industry veteran Geoff Goodman president, succeeding founder Reese Travis in that position, the company said Monday.
Goodman joined Oklahoma City-based Orange Leaf from Coppell, Texas-based CiCi’s Pizza, where he most recently served as vice president of brand excellence.
Travis will remain as Orange Leaf’s chief executive and chairman, a spokeswoman said.
Prior to joining CiCi’s in 2007, Goodman served as vice president of operations and education for Rita’s Water Ice. Before that, he worked as vice president of operations for Buster’s Real Ice Cream.
At Orange Leaf, Goodman will oversee operations, product development, brand management and franchise development for the 300-unit frozen yogurt chain, the company said.
“Geoff is the ideal leader to help Orange Leaf during this crucial period of shakeout in the frozen yogurt industry,” Travis said in a statement. “His extensive operations experience and proven track record of improving customer experience make him the perfect fit in this new role.”
Goodman said he looked forward to leading “the Orange Leaf team as we work with our franchisees to ensure that the Orange Leaf experience and premium product offering are the best in the industry.”
Orange Leaf has self-serve locations in the United States and Australia.
