It was a busy month across the industry in August, with 28 executives making moves from promotions to retirements to taking new roles at new companies.
That includes six new CEOs at companies including Church’s Texas Chicken, Frisch’s Big Boy and Union Square Hospitality Group. The latter announced two promotions this month, along with the evolving role of legendary founder Danny Meyer, who is staying on as executive chairman.
Denny’s, which got a new CEO in June, appointed presidents for both of its individual brands (Denny’s and the recently-acquired Keke’s Breakfast Café). Del Taco also named a new president as CEO John Cappasola recently left the company.
Starbucks, gearing up to name a new CEO later this year, announced the elimination of a key C-suite role.
There were also changes at big companies like McDonald’s, Panera Brands, and more. Click through the gallery to meet 28 restaurant executives on the move.
