Datassential: ‘Taco Bell might have another McRib on their hands’

When it comes to limited-time offers released on menus in recent months, quick-service standouts include KFC’s one-day plant-based chicken nuggets, an alternative meat Whopper at Burger King and Taco Bell’s creative iterations of Nacho Fries.

The Mexican-inspired chain is also earning high craveworthy marks for its latest shell innovation, the Toasted Cheddar Chalupa, according to consumer research from Chicago-based research firm Datassential. Likewise, promotions designed around popular meat alternatives are drawing a better-than-average response from consumers, according to the company.
