While restaurant competitors are exploring plant-based meat alternatives, Arby's is staying true to its "We Have The Meats" mantra with its latest innovation: meat vegetables, or "megetables."

“Plant-based meats are the latest incarnation of making vegetables look like what Americans really want, which is great, tasty meat,” Jim Taylor, chief marketing officer for the quick-service chain, said.

The video above showcases the cooking process for the Marrot, a turkey breast-based "carrot." The protein-packed creation comes from the mind of Neville Craw, vice president of culinary innovation and brand executive chef for Arby’s.

The quick-service chain is under Atlanta-based Inspire Brands. The parent company has more than 8,400 restaurants across its four brands: Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic Drive-In and Rusty Taco.
