The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf brand has opened its first drive-thru-only unit in Rialto, Calif., the company said Monday.
Los Angeles-based Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf said the unit’s grand opening of the location west of San Bernardino, Calif., will be March 30, and offers a smaller footprint model of the concept.
“The drive-thru-only model with a pickup window is designed to integrate with the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s app for order-ahead and serves to provide its guests with a more efficient and convenient experience,” the company said.
“At The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, we are always looking for new ways to enhance our guests’ experience, and this new drive-thru only location provides a more streamlined, convenient and faster way for them to enjoy our iconic high-quality coffee and teas from around the world, while not having to get out of their cars,” said Sanjiv Razdan, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s president of Americas and India, in a statement.
“This is the second location that we’ve opened in Rialto,” Razdan added, “which also underscores our commitment to future growth in the area.”
As in other locations, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Rialto store offers Arabica coffee that is roasted in small batches at a facility in Camarillo, Calif.
The store also offers a wide variety of The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf whole leaf teas as well as fresh baked goods that include muffins, cakes, specialty croissants, and oven-toasted breakfast items.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s new store in Rialto will be open for drive-thru, carry-out and delivery from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. PDT every day.
The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, founded in 1963 and and purchased by Manila-based Jollibee Foods Corp in 2019, has more than 1,000 locations in more than 20 countries.
