McDonald’s CosMc’s has opened its seventh location since launching outside of Chicago last year. The newest unit is on Potranco Road in San Antonio – the concept’s sixth in Texas.

CosMc’s also launched six new beverages, including:

  • Sea Salted Caramelactic Shaken Espresso: Rich espresso and sea salted caramel flavors fused with oat milk foam.

  • Oat & Honey Latte: Espresso paired with oat milk and honey flavors.

  • French Toast Galaxy Iced Latte: Espresso, paired with maple and cinnamon flavors.

  • Coconaut Cold Brew: Cold brew mixed with coconut vanilla flavors and finished with cold foam.

  • Pistachio Swirl Shaken Espresso: Espresso swirled with pistachio flavors below an oat milk foam.

  • Iced Vanilla Matcha Latte: Creamy matcha shaken with vanilla flavors, served over ice and finished with cold foam.

The company also announced it will begin offering its coffee flavors as iced, hot, or frappe.

CosMc’s was created to solve what the company calls the “3 p.m. slump.” The menu features five beverage categories — Signature Galactic Boosts, iced teas and lemonades, slushes and frappes, brews, and fountain and bottled drinks — as well as sandwiches, bites, baked goods, soft serve, and “From the McDonald’s Universe.” McDonald’s Universe offerings include the Egg McMuffin, Sausage McMuffin with Egg, Bacon McMuffin with Egg, and two McFlurrys.

The new San Antonio location is one of 10 test locations expected from the concept. McDonald’s plans to read results from those 10 locations, and “innovate, test, and learn with speed,” as CEO Chris Kempczinski explained during McDonald’s Investor Day event last year. He added that McDonald’s is under indexed in the afternoon occasion daypart.
