Dean Gordon, Jack in the Box’s SVP, chief supply officer, is retiring after 15 years with the company. He joined in February 2009 and was named chief supply chain officer in November 2019.

According to the company, he has spearheaded several cost savings initiatives and built relationships with franchise owners, suppliers, and vendor partners that helped the company through the pandemic and the shared services integration of the Jack in the Box and Del Taco brands following that acquisition in 2022 for $585 million.

During the company’s most recent earnings call last month, CEO Darin Harris credited the supply chain strategy for helping to drive improved unit economics and, ultimately, new restaurant growth.

Gordon will remain with the company during the transition period to help identify his successor.

“I am very grateful to have been a part of Jack in the Box Inc.’s journey for the past 15 years,” Gordon said in a statement. “I am fully committed to supporting the company in finding the ideal candidate to lead us into the future.”

“On behalf of the entire company, I want to express our deepest gratitude for Dean’s tireless efforts and invaluable contributions,” Harris said in a statement.“Throughout his tenure, he has fostered a very talented and committed Supply Chain team who undoubtedly will continue his legacy and impact for years to come.”
