Jack in the Box Inc. will sharpen such tools as its drive-thru speed and bundle offerings to increase transactions in the year ahead, executives said Thursday.
The San Diego-based burger brand posted systemwide same-store sales increases of 3% in the fourth quarter ended Sept. 29. Same-store sales at company-owned restaurants, which make up about 6% of the system total, rose 3.5%, driven by average check growth of 2.8% and transaction growth of 0.7%.
Jack in the Box reported full year system same-store-sales growth of 1.3%, which is the highest such increase since fiscal 2015, when annual same-store sales were up 6.5%
