Store remodels, ditching bloated menus and drive-thru innovations are paying off for McDonald’s Corp., which reported its highest increase in U.S. same-store sales since launching all-day breakfast in late 2015.

McDonald’s reported a 5.7% increase in same-store sales in the U.S. and a 6.5% jump in global sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2019. The U.S. performance was driven by value promotions such the 2 for $5 Mix and Match deal and positive impact from store remodels.
