Papa John’s International, Inc. reported another strong quarter during the COVID-19 pandemic, with same-store sales up 23.8% for North America and 20.7% internationally, driven by menu innovations and ticket growth in a delivery-dominant economy.

The changes in consumer behavior have led to the growth of ticket add-ons like the Papa John’s popular Papadias and the popularity of new menu items like the recently introduced Shaq-a-Roni pizza, Papa John’s CEO Rob Lynch said during Thursday’s earnings call for the third quarter ended Sept. 27, 2020.
