Starbucks is increasing parental leave for its baristas. The coffee shop giant said on Monday that it will triple the amount of paid parental leave that birth mothers can get to 18 weeks. Non-birth parents’ leave will be doubled to 12 weeks.

North Carolina’s highest court ruled last week that  while their dining rooms were closed by government directives during the pandemic, a reversal of the case law that’s cost the industry tens of millions in denied coverage.

The Heisman Trophy this year went to Travis Hunter of the Colorado University Buffaloes, and Buffalo Wild Wings is celebrating with a combo meal.

Ken Cole, a past CEO of the Damon’s, Sizzler, and Quaker Steak & Lube chains, has died at age 70. Cole spent much of his life in the industry, starting at a Jerry’s restaurant and working his way into senior positions within at least eight chains.
