Starbucks may be cutting jobs. CEO Brian Nichols said in a systemwide message last week that the company is examining the structure of its global support center teams to improve efficiency inside its operations. The reorganization will result in eliminations and smaller support teams moving forward.

Hy-Vee is ending its relationship with Wahlburgers. The grocery store chain said Tuesday that it will close the 79 Wahlburgers locations in its stores and replace them with its own Market Grill concept. The closures account for about two-thirds of Wahlburgers’ unit count but the Hy-Vee-operated outlets had not been performing well and made up only a small portion of sales.

Riko’s pizza has named Carl Bachmann as president and chief operating officer. Bachmann most recently served as CEO of BurgerFi International and Anthony's coal-fired pizza. He previously held leadership positions at Smashburger, Ruby Tuesdays, and Bertucci's.
