Executive promoted to succeed the retiring Donagh Herlihy in the technology role
Subway has promoted Dave Blankenship to chief information officer, effective Jan. 1, the company said Thursday.
Blankenship will report to Carrie Walsh, Subway’s interim CEO, and lead the global technology team at the quick-service concept, which has headquarters in Miami and Shelton, Conn.
Blankenship will succeed Donagh Herlihy, who plans to retire at the end of the year. Herlihy has served in the role since 2021.
Since joining Subway in August 2020, Blankenship has worked closely with Subway franchisees to deliver technology solutions, the company said.
Subway, a division of Roark Capital, has nearly 37,000 restaurants worldwide.
