Sandwich restaurants also plan return of chicken salad to the menu on April 11
Subway will begin offering a new lineup of wraps, available at restaurants nationwide on April 11, as the brand introduces a new Middle Eastern-inspired lavash-style flatbread, the company announced Thursday.
Subway, which has headquarters divided in Shelton, Conn., and Miami, said it is returning chicken salad to its menu along with the new flatbread wraps
The four new wraps include:
Homestyle Chicken Salad. The chicken salad is made fresh in the restaurants from rotisserie-style chicken and mayonaisse, topped with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, cucumber, and red onion.
Honey Mustard Chicken. It uses rotisserie-style chicken and is topped with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and Monterey cheddar cheese, and honey mustard sauce.
Turkey, Bacon & Avocado. Oven-roasted turkey, crisp bacon and smashed avocado are topped with lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, Monterey cheddar cheese, and Peppercorn Ranch sauce.
Cali Caprese. BelGioioso mozzarella and avocado are topped with lettuce, spinach, tomatoes, red onions, cucumbers, roasted garlic aioli, and MVP Parmesan Vinaigrette.
“Wraps have become an afterthought on restaurant menus with uninspiring choices and snack-size portions that leave you wanting more,” said Paul Fabre, Subway’s senior vice president of culinary and innovation, in a statement. “That insight kickstarted the process of revamping Subway’s wraps.
“We spent over a year creating signature recipes with unique ingredients that bring out the best in our new lavash-style flatbread, and also fuel you up without weighing you down,” Fabre said.
In July 2022, Subway introduced its Subway Series lineup of curated sandwiches, which were an alternative to the customizable assembly-line model.
This latest menu refresh continues Subway’s ongoing transformation journey that began in 2021.
Subway has nearly 37,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries and territories.
