Taco Bell will drop its 30-second Super Bowl teaser today and it will feature a familiar face. In the spot, Grammy Award-winning artist Doja Cat is shown photobombing fans capturing their moment on Taco Bell’s recently added “Live Más Drive-Thru Cams” for the chance to appear in the brand’s Super Bowl commercial.

While Doja Cat might make an appearance in the final ad spot, the company said the real stars will be the fans who took advantage of the drive-thru cams. More than 3,000 customers participated in the activation for the chance to appear in Taco Bell’s Super Bowl commercial during the third quarter of the game on Feb. 9. The spot was directed by Grammy Award winner Dave Meyers.

“Fans really showed up and showed out at our Live Más Drive-Thru Cams — from bringing their friends and entire family, to renewing vows and sharing ultrasound photos, they demonstrated what it means to live más going through the Taco Bell drive-thru, and we can’t wait to give them the spotlight at one of the biggest commercial stages of the year,” chief marketing officer Taylor Montgomery said in a statement. “Doja Cat has been an incredible partner and one of our most iconic fans. Her passion for the brand is undeniable, but this year is about celebrating the everyday fans. While there’s a slight

possibility for Doja and other friends of the brand to make an appearance, the true spotlight belongs to the fans who make Taco Bell, Taco Bell. This is their time to shine.”

Doja Cat first partnered with Taco Bell in 2022 during a campaign to bring back the fan-favorite Mexican Pizza. The partnership and product helped drive $45 million in sales and an 8% sales lift, while earning Taco Bell a spot on the Time100 Most Influential Companies list.

Taco Bell is also offering Rewards members a free Crunchy Taco, Crunchwrap, Mexican Pizza, or Chalupa with any delivery order in the app from Feb. 7-9.
