Flippy, a robotic burger and fry cook that’s had gigs at Dodger Stadium and emerging fast-casual chain CaliBurger, has finally landed a job with a national restaurant chain: White Castle.
The iconic quick-service burger chain has hired Flippy, created by Miso Robotics, for a one-store test that starts in September or October in the Chicago region.
Chain leaders say they are looking to bring autonomous kitchen assistants to restaurants to enhance food quality, develop contactless cooking and help boost menu innovation.
