Yum Brands reported strong earnings for the third quarter ended Sept. 30, 2021, highlighted by a record-breaking 760 restaurant openings during the quarter. Momentum was primarily driven by digital sales growth, CEO David Gibbs said during the quarterly earnings call on Thursday.
Even as customers go back to dining rooms, digital sales have retained 40% of sales mix in Q3, with more than 80% of restaurants offering delivery across the Yum portfolio.
