Postino WineCafé, a concept from Upward Projects, opened Monday at Prestonwood Place in Addison, Texas, the 25th location for the all-day wine bar, the company said.

Phoenix, Ariz.-based Postino WineCafé now has locations in five states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia and Texas. Postino closed a location in Dallas’ Deep Ellum area earlier this year.

The newest restaurant, covering 4,308 square feet at 5280 Belt Line Road in Addison, takes the brand’s wine program and food to the North Dallas market.

“We’re so excited to be joining the foodie-centric Addison community. It’s an honor to be amidst that vibrancy, fun and energy,” said Lauren Bailey, Postino co-founder, in a statement. “We’ve been working hard to get this location ready for its debut, and we are excited to share our brand of fun with our new neighbors in Addison.”

Postino, in its first two weeks, is raising funds for the Dallas-Fort Worth American Heart Association Chapter, pledging $1 for each bruschetta board – the most popular menu item – to the AHA.

The original Postino was in a restored, 1940s-era Phoenix post office. Italian for “Postman,” Postino has worked to create localized experiences.

In Addison, Postino pays homage to Addison Robertson, who served as the community’s postmaster from 1908-1916 and whose name the town carries. The restaurant’s decor incorporates hand-written letters and vintage typewriters. Postino also partnered with Addison-based Hand Drawing Records to design custom-made acrylic tables for the community table and high tops.

The menu features Postino’s bruschettas, charcuterie boards, salads, soups and paninis.

Upward Projects, which also owns the Churn, Federal Pizza, Joyride Taco House and Windsor concepts, in 2017 got a significant investment from private-equity firm Brentwood Associates.

Postino was co-founded in 2009 by Bailey and Craig DeMarco.
