LUBBOCK Texas Food Concepts International, parent of the 37-unit Abuelo's Mexican Food Embassy chain, has announced several executive changes.

Abuelo's has hired Ryan Biggs as vice president of strategic planning and Steve Hutnyan as vice president of culinary research and development. Biggs most recently was senior manager for product development and analysis at Brinker International Inc. Hutnyan most recently was director of culinary systems and deployment at Brinker.

Food Concepts, based here, also said it had added Dennis Lombardi to its board of directors. Lombard is executive vice president for foodservice strategies at the WD Partners consultancy.
