Aramark Corp. has named Eric J. Foss president and chief executive, the company said Tuesday.

Foss replaces Joseph Neubauer, who served as chief executive for 29 years and will remain with company as chairman of the board.

Foss previously served as chief executive of the Pepsi Beverages Company, a division of PepsiCo. Prior to that he was chairman and chief executive of the Pepsi Bottling Group before that company and Pepsi Americas were integrated into PepsiCo.

“Eric Foss is an outstanding leader with extensive experience running global enterprises,” Neubauer said in a statement. “He has a proven track record of delivering impressive results while building exceptional relationships with business partners, clients and employees. I am delighted to have an executive of Eric’s caliber lead Aramark forward.”

Also in a statement, Foss said, “I am very pleased to have been selected to lead this great company and outstanding team. Aramark is a much-admired organization and I am honored to be chosen to build upon its success. I look forward to a bright future here as we create the next impressive chapter in the history of Aramark.”

Philadelphia-based Aramark is an on-site foodservice provider that has approximately 250,000 employees serving clients in 22 countries.
