Wingstop has named Chris Fallon as its new senior vice president, chief information officer, effectively immediately. Fallon will be charged with leading the brand’s restaurant technology solutions, IT infrastructure, and information security.

He most recently served as chief information officer at Fortune Brands Water Innovations, overseeing the Moen and House of Rohl businesses. Prior, he served at Starbucks for 14 years, where his responsibilities included retail back-of-house, corporate, licensed stores and CPG technologies.

“Wingstop’s category of one position is further strengthened by our tech-forward strategy and vision to digitize every transaction,” President and CEO Michael Skipworth said in a statement. “Having Chris onboard will build on our strong foundation and take our enterprise and restaurant technology solutions to the next level.”

Wingstop currently generates nearly 67% in digital sales, which has buoyed overall sales and traffic at the company. In Q3, the chain reported a systemwide sales increase of 26.5% and a same-store sales increase of 15.3%.Wingstop has a goal of digitizing 100% of its transactions and is currently in the process of testing a new proprietary technology platform, tentatively called MyWingstop, in some restaurants. The goal is to roll it out to the entire system in Q2 2024. Executives have noted that the $50 million investment is aimed at protecting its digital business and unlocking new capabilities to enable further AUV growth.
