El Pollo Loco Inc. has named former Taco Bell executive Kay Bogeajis chief operating officer, the company said Tuesday.

Bogeajis, who replaces Dennis Farrow in the COO role, was most recently vice president of retail operations for Peet’s Coffee & Tea, where she was responsible for $228 million in annual sales. Prior to that, she spent a decade at Taco Bell in various positions, including four years as head of western region operations.

Earlier in her career, Bogeajis spent 14 years with Burger King Corp.
