Arby’s and Sonic Drive-In parent company Inspire Brands announced Wednesday the promotion of former Dunkin’ Brands chief financial officer Kate Jaspon to Inspire Brands CFO. Jaspon will be replacing David Pipes, who simultaneously announced his retirement Wednesday after 40 years of experience in the industry.

With more than 15 years of experience in finance and treasury roles within the industry, Jaspon will transition into her new role this month, where she will be in charge of all accounting and reporting, tax, financial planning and analysis, internal audits, and manage the company’s relationships with lending institutions and investors.

Prior to joining the larger Inspire Brands organization, which acquired Dunkin’ at the end of 2020, Jaspon worked at Dunkin’ Brands in various roles for 15 years, including vice president of finance and treasury and later, CFO, for the last four years. She led Dunkin’ through a number of transactions, including the company’s IPO filing in 2011. Jaspon was also previously a board member of MOD Pizza.

“I’m honored and humbled to take on this leadership position,” Jaspon said in a statement. “I’ve been absolutely enamored with what Inspire is building from day one. This is an incredible opportunity and I’m so excited to take this world-class organization and team to the next level.”
