The Tommy Bahama Group has named Rob Goldberg senior vice president of restaurants, effective immediately.

The Seattle-based retail firm said Goldberg is responsible for overseeing operations for the 12 Tommy Bahama restaurants in six states and further expansion of the chain. The newest location is scheduled to open this fall in Laguna Beach, Calif.

Previously, Goldberg was president of the Moana Hotel & Restaurant Group, a sister company of Auberge Resorts. Prior to that he served as chief executive of PlumpJack Group, and has held executive positions at Hard Rock Group.

Tommy Bahama’s restaurants are located in the company’s retail outlets, which are known for selling sportswear and home furnishings with a tropical living theme.
