Miles, formerly Zoës’ president and chief operating officer, succeeds Greg Dollarhyde, who left the position last year but remains chairman.

Miles joined Birmingham, Ala.-based Zoës Kitchen in 2009 as executive vice president of operations and was promoted to president and COO in 2011.

Rahul Aggarwal, managing director of Zoës Kitchen parent and private-equity firm Brentwood Associates, said in a statement that Miles’ “extensive experience in the fast-casual industry has allowed for the implementation of unique strategies and the creation of internal teams that have consistently delivered industry-leading results.”
