September 19, 2023
Nation’s Restaurant News announced the investor lineup for its first-ever Investment Summit, held this Oct. 1 as part of CREATE: The Experience in Palm Springs, Calif.
Hosted at the top of Mt. San Jacinto in Palm Springs — accessible via aerial tramway — the Investment Summit will bring together restaurant investment firm representatives and emerging restaurant leaders for education, networking, and conversations around how brand leaders can accelerate their growth journeys through access to capital.
“The Investment Summit is the perfect opportunity for emerging brand leaders to learn more about the capital resources available to them and to meet the people who can provide those resources and accelerate their expansion journey — all in a unique and beautiful setting,” said Sam Oches, editor-in-chief of Nation’s Restaurant News.
The investor lineup for this year’s Investment Summit includes:
Savory Fund
Full Course Investment
CapitalSpring
Franchise Equity Partners
NewSpring Capital
DOM Food Group
Aegis Group Partners
The Investment Summit — which is hosted alongside strategic partners Savory Fund and The Elliot Group, as well as sponsors Golenbock Eiseman Assor Bell & Peskoe LLP and Entegra — will feature two educational sessions providing restaurant leaders with insights and tips into how they can supercharge their growth. Those sessions are:
Getting Your House in Order: A one-on-one conversation between Andrew K. Smith, managing director and cofounder of Savory Fund, and Sarah Lockyer, chief brand officer of The Elliot Group, discussing what emerging brand leaders need to do to prepare their organizations for growth.
What Investors Want: Moderated by Smith, this panel will feature three investors — Jim Balis of CapitalSpring, Lauren Fernandez of Full Course, and Satya Ponnuru of NewSpring Capital — discussing what they look for in potential investments and what restaurant leaders should do to prepare for a capital raise.
“We’re bringing together some of the leading voices in the restaurant investment world to engage and educate restaurant leaders who are ready to grow their businesses,” Oches said. “This is a unique opportunity for restaurant leaders to take their growth to the next level.”
