SALT LAKE CITY Multi-concept franchisee Sizzling Platter LLC has added to its Little Caesar’s operation with the acquisition of Pizza Pizza Co. Ltd., a 16-unit operation with restaurants in Texas and New Mexico.

Terms of the deal, which closed last month, were not disclosed. The acquisition allows Sizzling Platter to enter the Texas and New Mexico markets for the first time, according to an announcement by Sizzling Platter parent company Valor Equity Partners, a private-equity firm based in Chicago.

Based in Salt Lake City, Sizzling Platter operates more than 115 restaurants under the Little Caesar’s, Sizzler, Red Robin, Hoppers and Ruby River Steakhouse brands, primarily in Utah, Idaho, Nevada and Washington state.

Last year, the franchisee obtained a $58 million loan and revolving line of credit for the acquisition of a 51-unit Little Caesar’s franchise operation based in Salt Lake City. The loan was from Scottsdale, Ariz.-based G.E. Capital Solutions Franchise Finance.
