GREENSBURG Pa. Unique Pizza and Subs Corp. has agreed to sell franchise rights for 115 namesake units throughout Texas for $2 million, payable in weekly installments by buyer Unique Franchise Operations Inc.

The arrangement allows Austin, Texas-based UFOI to pay off the total over two years, or until the $2 million price is met. The deal translates into a franchise fee of $17,500, or a 12.5-percent discount off the usual price of $20,000 per store, the Greensburg, Pa.-based franchisor said.

UFOI said its goal is to open 10 stores in the Austin market and 40 more over the next five years. Further expansion is planned for California and Florida. The company is lead by chief executive Mark Ellison.

Unique Pizza currently consists of eight units in four states, according to the chain’s website.
