WEST PLAINS Mo. Wendy’s franchisee Wenbull Inc., based here, said Web-based RTIconnect back-office software from Restaurant Technology Inc. has cut food costs, among other benefits.
“RTIconnect has easily saved us thousands of dollars over a year’s time. It has greatly improved our food cost [and] actually dropped it in the beginning about 2.5 percent, which is phenomenal,” said Wenbull owner Dave Hale. “We were just prepping way too much stuff that we didn’t need — for example, salad and tomatoes. RTIconnect cut our costs down as far as how much we needed to order because we were no longer having this stock on hand,” added Hale, who noted that he also “loved” the Web-based program’s ability to let him access information about his restaurant at any time and from any computer with an Internet connection and browser software.
The RTIconnect modules used by Wenbull support a dashboard display of key metrics, such as menu items and quantity sold, total sales, and percent of sales of last week and this week, variance data, and an hourly sales/labor chart,” sources at Marietta, Ga.-based Restaurant Technology Inc. indicated.
