OKLAHOMA CITY Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Stores, based here, now supports ExpressPay contactless payment cards from American Express systemwide, the card company said.
ExpressPay cards use radio frequency identification technology to permit users to complete transactions by merely passing their cards near specialized readers, as opposed to lining up the magnetic stripe on the back of conventional cards in a prescribed manner before swiping. Some merchants report faster transactions as a result of this wave-and-go capability, compared with business concluded using cash or conventional cards.
Owned by W.H. Braum Inc., Braum's is a regional quick-service sandwich and treats chain with 276 retail sites in Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas.
