LOUISVILLE Ky. Cameron Mitchell Restaurants LLC is selling its Martini Italian Bistro in Louisville to British restaurateur Jim Davis, according to a local news report.

Business First, a publication serving the Louisville area, quoted Davis as saying “it’s a matter of when, not if” the six-year-old restaurant would be sold to him. Terms were not disclosed, but Davis said he expects the sale to be completed by Feb. 25.

Davis was also quoted as saying that Mitchell Restaurants plans to close its other Martini branch, in the multiconcept operator’s home base of Columbus, Ohio. But the assertion could not be confirmed.

Mitchell Restaurants sold 22 of its restaurants last year for $94 million to Ruth’s Chris Steak House Inc. Included in the deal were the company’s Mitchell’s Fish Market concept and two steakhouse brands.

The sale of the Martini bistro here would pare Mitchell’s operations to about 10 restaurants.
