ATLANTA Recently retired Morrison Management Specialists chief executive officer Glenn Davenport, a 33-year veteran of the contract foodservice industry, has been named president of Horizon Software International LLC, based here.

Sources at Horizon, a provider of point-of-sale and back-office management software and services, said that Davenport, a recent investor in the company, also will sit on the board of directors. At the time of Davenport's retirement in August 2006, Atlanta-based MMS had eclipsed the $1 billion in annual sales mark, Horizon representatives said.
