TROY, OHIO —Hobart is the first full-line commercial equipment company to become a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, a coalition of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.

The company recently participated in the council’s fifth annual Greenbuild Expo conference in Denver, where Hobart demonstrated how engineering for efficiency could contribute to cost savings and environmentally sustainable foodservice operations. Architects, engineers and foodservice managers working in education learned how reducing water and energy use and waste generation could support a greener kitchen while substantially reducing long-term operating and cost-of-ownership expenses. —Hobart is the first full-line commercial equipment company to become a member of the U.S. Green Building Council, a coalition of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work.
