NEW YORK The bicoastal Patina Restaurant Group has agreed to clone its acclaimed Los Angeles namesake, Patina, at the landmark Lincoln Center entertainment complex here. The 175-seat New York branch of the 50-unit company’s fine-dining flagship is scheduled to open in 2009.
Patina is among four new restaurants planned for the 16-acre campus, which is undergoing a renovation. The centerÕs catering operations and several other new, more casual eateries at the complex are to be operated by Restaurant Associates Managed Services, an arm of Compass Group PLC of London.
Restaurant Associates was a sister brand of Patina Group, which until late last year was owned by Compass. Patina founder Joachim Splichal, former Restaurant Associates leader Nick Valenti and Tokyo-based foodservice conglomerate Shidax Corp. last year purchased elements of RA and Patina Group to form Patina Restaurant Group.
