SCHAUMBURG ILL. —Rational now offers an option for its SelfCooking Center to measure and maintain the low temperatures required for sous-vide cooking. The option is available to all SelfCooking Center owners through the purchase of a thin probe, which is used in place of the unit’s existing exterior core probe.

Sous-vide is a cooking method in which foods in airtight plastic bags are cooked slowly at moderately low temperatures. —Rational now offers an option for its SelfCooking Center to measure and maintain the low temperatures required for sous-vide cooking. The option is available to all SelfCooking Center owners through the purchase of a thin probe, which is used in place of the unit’s existing exterior core probe.
